How to use Tech Meetups as a member, and everything the platform offers to the people who organize events.

For members

Find events, follow communities and keep your profile useful to the network.

Discover events

The Portal lists every published meetup. Search by keyword and filter by city, category or language, then switch between grid, calendar and map views.

RSVP and waitlists

Reply going or maybe, add guests, and join the waitlist automatically when an event is full. Everything you replied to lives under My Events.

Communities

Follow the communities you care about, get notified when they publish a new event, and see their organizers and Discord events.

Your profile

Add a photo, bio, skills and links, choose a username for a shareable profile page, and see the communities you have in common with others.

Jobs board

Browse tech job openings posted by member companies, filter them by city and work mode, and apply through the link each post provides.

Project opportunities (BETA)

Discover startups, side projects, open-source and community projects that are looking for collaborators, filter them by type, stage, what they need and location, and mark yourself interested so the owner can reach out. Post your own project with its skills, commitment and links to find the people to build it with.

Invite friends

Send invitation emails to the people you want in the network and keep track of the invitations you have already sent.

Messages and feedback

Message other members from their profile, and use the feedback board to request features, vote on ideas or report a bug.

For event organizers

Organizer tools unlock after your request is approved. Here is what you get.

Request organizer access

Open your profile and send an organizer request with a short reason. Admins review each request before the organizer tools unlock.

Organizer dashboard

One place for your upcoming events, total attendees and the communities you manage, with edit, publish, unpublish and delete actions per event.

Create an event

City comes first, then date. The form also covers category, spoken language, tags, capacity, an online link for remote events and a rich text description.

Smart planning panel

As soon as you pick a city and date, the planner shows other meetups happening in the same city that day and how many of their attendees are your members.

Venues and maps

Reuse a venue already saved in that city or add a new one with its address and coordinates, so the event page shows a map and directions.

Cover images with repositioning

Upload a cover image and slide it vertically so the important part stays visible in the event hero and in every card, in both light and dark mode.

Sponsors

List sponsors with their name, logo and website. They are shown on the event page under the event details.

Tickets and pricing

Mark an event as free or paid, link an external ticketing page, or simply show a price in euros when registration happens on site.

Attendees and capacity

Set a capacity so extra RSVPs roll onto the waitlist, then see who is going, who answered maybe and who is waiting, including their plus ones.

Email your community

Compose rich text emails to the members of the communities you lead. Every send is recorded in the email logs for later reference.

Member cards by OnlyNerds.club

Open a community you manage to see the Nerd ID cards its members added to their profiles, and invite the members who do not have one yet to get their Nerd ID from onlynerds.club.

Event photo gallery

After the meetup, upload the photos so attendees can revisit the event and new members can see what they missed.

Video recordings

Paste the YouTube link of the recording and the event page embeds a player, so the talks keep working after the room empties.

Import from Luma

Paste a Luma event link to prefill title, description, date, location and cover, then review the imported details before saving.

Communities and co-organizers

Keep your community profile current, including logo, banner, website, Discord server and tags, and add community leaders who help you organize.

Discord event sync

Link a Discord server so its scheduled events appear on the community page without being typed in twice.

Post jobs

With posting permission you can publish job openings for your company and edit or close them whenever the role is filled.

Public API

Generate an API token with allowed origins so partner sites can pull your published events and communities, RSVP counts included, or create events on your behalf.

Rich link previews

Event, community and profile links unfurl with a proper title, description and image when they are shared on social platforms and chat apps.
