1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you register and use Tech Meetups, such as your name, email address, profile details, community memberships, event RSVPs, posts, comments, and organizer content.
2. How we use information
We use this information to operate the platform, authenticate accounts, show profiles and community participation, manage RSVPs, deliver platform emails, support organizers, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
3. Profile visibility
Some profile information may be visible to signed-in members when you interact with communities, events, posts, or comments. Public profile visibility is controlled by the public-profile setting available in your profile. Do not publish information you do not want other members or the public to see.
4. Emails and invitations
When the platform sends an invitation or notification, we process the recipient address and message information needed to deliver and track that email. Invitation and email activity may be retained in platform email history for operational, security, and administrative purposes.
5. Payments
Tech Meetups does not receive or handle payments for meetups. Payment details should be provided only to the relevant community or organizer through their own chosen payment or ticketing service.
6. Service providers
We may use hosting, authentication, storage, email, analytics, and other infrastructure providers to operate the service. Information is shared with those providers only as needed to provide, secure, and maintain the platform.
7. Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account from your own profile settings. Account deletion is authenticated server-side and cannot be used to delete another member's account. Deletion may not remove information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate operational purposes.
